Yep, more cats!

Fortunately, only of the wooden variety (for now, heh)!
Yep, even the fake cats get treats around here!
As I've mentioned before, I have a bit of a collection of cat figurines. While the additions to my collection don't come nearly as frequently as they did several years ago, my mother continues to find items that she think are worthy additions while out on her ventures. During my last visit with her, she gifted me with this trio of photograph-holding felines to add to my case.

I'm always grateful for new items to add to the group, and I love that my mom enjoys finding pieces that aren't already represented. It's one of those things she does that reminds me that no matter how often we get together, we're never far from each other's thoughts.

Anyone else have an assortment of pet-themed items? Do friends or family give you gifts that reflect your love of the fur-footed? Please share!

those are ADORABLE and soooo unique! I love them!

I have a variety of different cat items (surprise, surprise) but I am strange (as if you didn't already know that lol) I prefer to get or purchase items that look either like my Angel Bobo looked or that look like Cody. I will rarely purchase something that doesn't look like either.

Should I receive a gift that doesn't look like either, that is fine, I just won't purchase an item that doesn't.

I also collect squirrels (another obsession of mine) and I have a few Sheltie items!

So cute! Yes, we have lots of cat-themed decorations, and our friends and family regularly gift us with cat stuff. :)

Of course, we love it because we love cats. We even had pictures of shelter cats on the place cards at our wedding. :)

Caren, I'm completely agnostic about my cat collection - they can look like anything that resembles cats. I do, however, like dog items that look like my dog. I have several sheltie items from the St. Bosco days, but have yet to find many floppy white dog items that look enough like Darby to buy.

Meowmeowmans - That is awesome about your wedding place cards! Wish I'd thought about that at the time. maybe we'll have an anniversary party in the future and I can do something like that :)

Because I love dogs so much, friends and family have started buying me figurines. Some of them are very interesting--one is made from volcanic clay from Mexico.

But, unfortunately, I'm not much of a tchotchke person. Probably because I'm such a bad housekeeper I need to keep surfaces as clear as possible in hopes of ever getting them dusted.

I'm not sure how to tell folks I'd rather have another dog than another dog-themed item. :)

On the other hand, I really liked the way you said getting cat-themed items was a way of keeping each other in your thoughts. Very nicely put.

If I ever reach my dream to move onto a sailboat, you can bet I'll have some interesting dog-related items to give away on my blog.
